Abdel-Baset Bani Yaseen is a PhD candidate at the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, specializing in diagnostic reference levels (DRLs) and dose optimisation in computed tomography (CT). He holds an MSc in Radiation Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia, where his dissertation focused on establishing DRLs in spinal CT, and a BSc in Radiology Technology from Jordan University of Science and Technology, both completed with excellent academic standing.
Prior to commencing his doctoral studies, Abdel-Baset worked as a radiologic technologist at the Everest Center for MRI and Diagnostic Radiology in Amman, Jordan, where he gained extensive experience in general X-ray, CT, and fluoroscopy procedures. He is licensed as a Diagnostic Radiology Technician by the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission in Jordan.
His research focuses on radiation dose optimisation and international benchmarking of DRLs, with publications addressing CT dose optimisation strategies and DRL establishment.
