Andrea Filippi, MD
Professor Andrea R. Filippi was born in Turin, Italy. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Turin in 1998 and became board-certified in Radiation Oncology in 2002. He currently serves as the Head of the Radiation Oncology Department at the National Cancer Institute in Milan and is an Associate Professor of Radiotherapy in the Department of Oncology at the University of Milan.
His research and clinical interests primarily focus on radiotherapy for hematological malignancies and lung cancer. He is particularly interested in the combination of thoracic radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted kinase inhibitors (TKIs). As the Principal Investigator for multiple clinical trials and interdisciplinary research programs, he is committed to developing new treatment combinations and advancing radiation techniques, such as next-generation image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) and radiomics-based approaches.
