Austin Sim, MD, JD
Austin Sim, MD, JD is an Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University James Cancer Center where he serves as the Acting Director of Hematologic Radiation Oncology and Director of Medical Student Education in the Department of Radiation Oncology. He specializes in the management of hematologic and thoracic malignancies and has research interests in optimizing combinations of radiotherapy with novel systemic therapies like CAR-T and bispecifics and leadership/professional development. He pioneered the dual MD/JD program at the University of Virginia, where he served as the President of AOA and on the Article Review Board of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology. He then completed his residency at Moffitt Cancer Center, where he served as Chief Resident and received the inaugural Louis B. Harrison Resident Leadership Award. He currently serves as the Inaugural Chair of the Early Career Committee and on multiple hematologic malignancy committees across the NCTN.
