Curtis Leclerc is an MD/PhD Student at University of British Columbia, where he is currently completing his doctoral research through the Interdisciplinary Oncology Program with a focus on radiation oncology. Curtis received his Master of Science from the University of Manitoba in 2022. Currently based at UBC’s Northern Medical Program, Curtis is the first and only MD/PhD student at this distributed site. His clinical and academic interests lie in the treatment of oligometastatic disease using Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR), with an emphasis on understanding clinical trial design and long-term outcomes following SABR. He has presented nationally on topics related to SABR, clinical trial design, and cancer disparities. His long-term career goal is to bridge translational research with patient-centered clinical care, using his dual training to advance precision radiation oncology and equitable access to novel therapies.
