Daniel Lichlyter, BS
Daniel Lichlyter is a third-year medical student at the University of Florida College of Medicine with an interest in radiation oncology. He plans to apply for residency in 2027. For the past two years, Daniel Lichlyter has been a highly effective research assistant at the University of Florida Health Proton Therapy Institute, working closely with mentors Dr. Nancy Mendenhall and Dr. Curtis Bryant. His research has centered on analyzing the institute’s comprehensive prostate cancer outcomes database to better understand what outcomes men can expect if they choose proton therapy.
Daniel Lichlyter was recently named a recipient of the Oberndorf Medical AI Catalyst Grant to fund his proposal: “Addressing Racial Disparities with Causal Forests: A Pilot for Equitable Risk Stratification of Post-Nephrectomy Renal Impairment”. Daniel Lichlyter is passionate about the intersection of technology and medicine and is eager to contribute to the future of radiation oncology.
