Dr. Eva Oldenburger is an attending physician and Deputy Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology at University Hospitals Leuven in Belgium. Her clinical work spans Radiation Oncology; where she focuses on gynecological and skin malignancies, benign and palliative radiotherapy, and brachytherapy; and Palliative Care, where she contributes to both the hospital’s palliative support team and inpatient ward.
She completed her medical training at KU Leuven, graduating with distinction, and went on to specialize in Radiation Oncology. Dr. Oldenburger obtained her PhD at KU Leuven’s Laboratory of Experimental Radiotherapy, where her research explored the integration of electronic Patient Reported Outcome Measures (ePROMs) in symptom follow-up after palliative radiotherapy. Her academic and clinical work continues to center on embedding the patient’s voice in multidisciplinary oncology and palliative care.
She serves on the editorial boards of several journals and is actively engaged in multiple international professional organizations.
