Evan Thomas, MD, PhD

Dr. Evan Thomas serves as Founder and Chief Medical Officer of the Renaissance Institute of Precision Oncology & Radiosurgery, formerly holding a position as Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at The James Comprehensive Cancer Center in Ohio. With a distinguished career spanning clinical practice and research, Dr. Thomas has established himself as a pioneer in advanced stereotactic radiosurgery applications.

Dr. Thomas's clinical expertise encompasses treating brain tumors, movement disorders, and cardiac arrhythmias using cutting-edge radiosurgical techniques. He has been instrumental in developing innovative approaches to functional disorders, leading groundbreaking work in implementation of frameless, coneless linear accelerator-based radiosurgical treatments. His collaboration with Varian Medical Systems has contributed significantly to advancing radiosurgery technology and treatment delivery systems.

In research, Dr. Thomas has authored or co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed efforts, with notable contributions to single-isocenter multi-target treatment planning, automated VMAT radiosurgery, and functional radiosurgery applications. His work has earned a number of prestigious recognitions.

As an active member of several professional organizations including ASTRO, the Radiosurgery Society (RSS), AAPM, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Dr. Thomas has made significant contributions to these societies' growth and development.
