Isidora King, MD
Dr. Isidora King Mandel is a Chilean-American radiation oncologist at Clínica IRAM in Santiago, Chile. She completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at Universidad Diego Portales, following her medical degree at Universidad Finis Terrae, where she graduated with highest distinction.
Her clinical practice and research focus on genitourinary cancers and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). She is the principal investigator of an ongoing prospective study in Latin America evaluating stereotactic ablative radiotherapy for inoperable renal cell carcinoma, and has published on acute toxicity and quality of life in postoperative prostate cancer patients treated with ultra-hypofractionated pelvic radiation therapy.
Dr. King is actively engaged in the academic and professional community, serving as President of the Scientific Committee for Best of ASTRO 2024 in Chile and as a frequent speaker at national and international oncology meetings. She has also spearheaded initiatives to expand the use of radiotherapy in benign conditions, leading one of the first structured programs in Chile recruiting patients from public hospitals.
Through her clinical work, research, and teaching, Dr. King is committed to expanding access to high-quality radiotherapy and fostering multidisciplinary collaboration in oncology across Latin America.
