Dr. Jenghwa Chang is an ABR- and ABMP-certified medical physicist and is currently a Senior Advisor, Radiation Physics at Northwell Health. He is the Director of the Medical Physics Residency Program at Northwell Health and the Director of the MS in Medical Physics Graduate Program of Hofstra University. Dr. Chang is a site surveyor for the ACR ROPA program and is a reviewer for multiple international journals. Dr. Chang’s research interest involves applying engineering and physics principles to medicine and was a pioneer in optical diffusion tomography for the early detection of breast cancers, EPID dosimetry, and onboard CBCT for image-guided radiotherapy. Currently, he is focusing on the research of automation, brachytherapy dosimetry and FLASH treatment planning. Dr. Chang is actively involved in professional activities and has served on multiple committees and officers for AAPM and RAMPS. He is an AAPM fellow and has offered several SAM educational/professional lectures to colleagues at various national/international professional meetings. Dr. Jenghwa Chang received his BS degree in Control Engineering and MS degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the National Chiao-Tung University, and his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of New York (NYU Poly).
