Kiran Devisetty, MD is a board-certified radiation oncologist who joined McLaren Flint in August 2012. He received his medical degree from The University of Michigan Medical School, during which time he was also a Howard Hughes Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Devisetty then completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Chicago Hospitals where he served as Chief Resident.


Following training, Dr. Devisetty was an Assistant Professor in the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Department of Radiation Oncology for three years. While there, he developed and led the liver stereotactic body radiation therapy program and opened an investigator-initiated phase I clinical trial for hepatocellular carcinoma. Dr. Devisetty was also a member of both the lung and head & neck cancer teams.


Since joining the Karmanos Cancer Institute (KCI) at McLaren, Dr. Devisetty maintains clinical practices in Flint and Owosso. In 2015, he was appointed Medical Director of Karmanos Cancer Network’s Radiation Oncology Research to lead the development and expansion of the radiation oncology clinical trials program. Under his leadership, KCI has consistently been recognized as a top 5 site in accruals for Lead Academic Participating Sites within the NRG.


Dr. Devisetty has a strong commitment to both medical education and research, as he often lectures to both medical students and residents and is engaged in independent research. He currently holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University and Clinical Associate Professor at both Michigan State University and Central Michigan University.
