Dr. Hathout is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Rutgers Cancer Institute and a nationally recognized expert in gynecologic and genitourinary cancers with specialized expertise in interstitial brachytherapy. Fellowship-trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering and dual board-certified in the U.S. and Canada, she directs New Jersey’s only fellowship-trained brachytherapy program, performing over 250 complex procedures annually. An active leader in ASTRO, ABS, and the American Board of Radiology, she serves in multiple national roles, including Vice-Chair of the GYN track for the ASTRO 2025 Annual Meeting, Chair of the ASTRO Bias and Harassment Working Group, and Chair of the ABS Education Subcommittee for Genitourinary Cancers. She has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, led high-impact national studies, and was honored as Educator of the Year in 2024.
