Lingyi Kong is a Ph.D. candidate at Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, supervised by Professor Kunyu Yang. She previously earned her Clinical Medicine degree from Tongji Medical College, laying a solid foundation in clinical and translational research. Since 2022, Lingyi Kong has been actively engaged in oncology-related basic research. She has developed proficiency in key experimental techniques, including molecular cloning, flow cytometry for immune microenvironment detection, and murine model establishment—skills critical to advancing mechanistic studies in cancer biology. Her research focus centers on the intersection of cancer radiotherapy, immunity, and metabolism, with a specific emphasis on characterizing changes in the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) post-irradiation. Working closely with her research team, she contributes to unraveling how radiotherapy modulates TIME components, aiming to identify novel targets for enhancing radiotherapy efficacy through immunometabolic regulation. Though early in her doctoral journey, her hands-on expertise and focused inquiry position her as a promising contributor to translational oncology research.
