Michael Yang is a current Master's student at the UTHealth MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. He is a part of the Imaging and Radiation Oncology Core (IROC) lab researching under the mentorship of Dr. Mallory Glenn. Currently, Michael is in the process of applying to medical schools with an interest of becoming a radiation oncologist. Prior to pursuing his Master's degree in medical physics he undertook a Bachelor's in biomedical engineering from the Texas A&M University. Michael has also done previous work as a medical physics assistant at Advanced Medical Physics Inc. where he helped to provide medical physics and dosimetry work at two clinics under the supervision of a qualified medical physicist. His current research focuses on developing a multi-lesion SRS phantom for inclusion in the IROC phantom program.
