Rami El Shafie, MD

Prof. Dr. med. Rami El Shafie is currently Deputy Director at the Department of Radiation Oncology at Göttingen University Medical Center. As a physician scientist, his scientific focus lies in clinical research and conducting clinical trials. His main fields of expertise are thoracic radiation oncology, neuro radiation oncology and eHealth with an emphasis on stereotactic and precision treatments. One main current project evaluates novel approaches regarding the radiosurgical treatment of brain metastases. Other areas of his research include the evaluation of innovative digitized concepts such as AI and machine learning in the context of oncological care.
