Tala Mobayed, MD, is a fifth-year radiation oncology resident and Chief Resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC). Her clinical training spans a wide range of radiation oncology techniques, including IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, and advanced GYN brachytherapy procedures. Actively engaged in several ongoing research projects, her work explores different topics such as the role of PET-CT in breast cancer, gastrointestinal and rectal toxicity. She presented her study, “DCIS with close or positive margins: A single institution report on re-excision and disease outcomes,” at ESTRO 2024 in Glasgow. Recognized for both academic and clinical excellence, she was nominated for the FM Dean’s Excellence Award and received Best Abstract honors at the Beirut Breast Cancer Conference. Dr. Mobayed is a member of ASTRO, ESTRO, and the American College of Radiology, with plans to pursue fellowship training in the USA.
