Tamia Williams is a medical student at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, completing her training through the Charles R. Drew University/UCLA Medical Education Program. Her academic interests span radiation oncology, integrative medicine, and global health. After participating in a global health exchange in Shanghai, China, she deepened her commitment to cross-cultural approaches to cancer care and survivorship, with a focus on bridging traditional and modern healing practices.
Tamia is passionate about improving patient understanding and engagement throughout the cancer journey. She has contributed to projects focused on clinical trial access, radiation prescribing trends, and curriculum development. She is also developing educational tools—including a board game inspired by immunology—to reimagine how students and patients learn about the immune system and cancer treatment. Her work reflects a deep curiosity, creativity, and drive to build systems of care that are both evidence-based and deeply human.
