Zhibin Huang, PhD
Dr. Zhibin (Jonathan) Huang is a chief Medical Physicist at Vitruvian Health. He had been appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at East Carolina University (ECU). He received his Ph.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University and his postdoctoral training at The Ohio State University. His expertise is in the field of MRI physics, accelerator physics, medical physics, imaging analysis and nuclear medicine. He has a strong background in diagnostic imaging, radiation physics, computer programming and mathematics. He is very actively involved in therapeutic & diagnostic physics. He has been actively taking part in routine physics clinic in all aspects, including LINAC daily/monthly/annual QA, 3D-CRT/IMRT treatment planning, IMRT QA, HDR/LDR brachytherapy, Gamma knife, etc. While he provides clinical services, he has teaching and research components. He has published more than 66 articles and 58 abstracts in peer-reviewed journals including prestigious journals: Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), Cancer Research, and Physical Review Letters. He is a regular reviewer for several journals including Journal of Radiation Oncology, International Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics, Medical Physics, Physics in Medicine and Biology, American Journal of Cancer Science, and Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter. He serves the Editorial Board for Journal of Radiation Oncology and Senior Editor Board for American Journal of Cancer Science and is a guest Associate Editor for Medical Physics. He is a federal grant investigator as well.
